In a travel edition to the West and Southwest, Sunset Magazine GTD to do a full color gatefold of the three major periods of dinosaurs. This is the base artwork before copy was added.

This project required independent research, to find additional background information and visuals. Upon approval of the final layout, the artwork was executed in watercolor and color pencil. GTD blended the three segments of content, creating an artistic flowing timeline. Also by placing the dinosaurs in these positions, a visually interesting and intriguing gatefold was achieved.
